September Word Wall
Learn how we use the word wall in our classroom.

October - June Word Wall

We focus on 4-5 words each week but all the "sight words" for the year are posted to help students who want to use them in their writing.  The other words not shown are also on 12 x 15 laminated sheets posted on cabinet and closet doors. (The pink cards on right are some things to include in writing).

This bulletin board has our jobs (yellow stars), calendar, weather chart and number of school days ( near Zero the Hero on left).

Apple Turkeys

We make these to take home.  Oak tag head, wings, tail, toothpicks (a 3-legged bird), apple. 

 Kids color and cut out paper pieces, teacher makes slits in apple with sharp knife and inserts pieces.  Stands up with toothpicks placed as tripod. See one apple turkey up close in next picture.  You also can do this with a potato.
