Once again it's time for Santa, Rudolph, candy canes, gift-getting, great kitchen smells, and renewed family traditions.   But for many of us, remembering the first Christmas is most important.  Traditional or religious, the Christmas Season is here at last - let's be happy for our blessings and very generous to those who have less.

The Polar Express

The children are invited to bring in bathrobes and slippers.  We make a train with our chairs.  Everyone is very quiet and Mrs. M. reads this wonderful book.  We all hear the first Christmas bell.  It's magical!  Of course, there's Snowman Soup to share when we exit the train. Here's a simple response activity:

Put 1 package hot chocolate mix, a few candy kisses, some mini marshmallows,
and a candy cane into a hot cup or snowman mug. Wrap in cellophane or plastic bag and add a gift tag.
