Thank you for the
spectacular job you have done on the project! My children are thrilled
and also their parents. It is so much fun to see all the fabulous
educational learning going on across the United States! You are truly a
gifted technology advocate- you made it exciting to be a part of such a
professional group!
Thank you! Jewell Reingold
11/26/2004 Thanks for a wonderful project! Fall is something
everyone enjoys after our long hot summers and what fun it was to
contribute to such a wonderful project! Congratulations on the Miss
Rumphius Award. What an honor! Hope you and your hand are feeling
better. Norma Goddard
11/25/2004 We really enjoyed
doing this project. My students loved looking at the
sites from the other classes. They also enjoyed seeing themselves on the
internet. This was a fun project do to and we look forward to doing
other projects like this in the future. The only part that was a
disappointment was to see someone else's picture on our project page and
our class poem picture not there. (Technology is wonderful when
everything goes well.) I hope that your hand heals quickly. :) Mrs.

OOPS!
That's why I needed everyone to check pages after I made them.
All fixed now and my apologies to Mrs. Sciele and for any other
pages I goofed! ~ Marci

This is the first time I've ever tried an Internet project, so it was a
learning experience for me... My class had a wonderful time
working on the project! Mrs.

11/15/2004 Thank you for the opportunity to participate in
a great project! This was such a positive experience, that I will likely
be involved in future internet projects to expand my teaching.

Nov. 13, 2004 Thank you for hosting this project and including us
as participants. I appreciated the updates and how well you have
organized the website. The directions were so clear that it was
very easy to follow.
Through the project, my class and I have added to our schema about Fall,
why leaves change color, and how the seasons may differ around the
world. First graders are such curious, enthusiastic learners; this
project was perfect to use to peak their interest in nature and the
world around them. Bravo on the Miss Rumphius Award!
Thanks again, Julie Filer/1/WA
Nov. 10, 2004 What a fantastic, fun project. I loved the way
that you had everything set up for us. So many styles of poems
explained. It fit in so nicely with our curriculum and helped me out by
offering a writing project to focus on. My students enjoyed it
immensely and were very interested in seeing poems written by other
classes in another country.
After seeing how much my students enjoyed the activity the other grade 2
teacher at our school had her class do a poem and pictures too...
I look forward to any projects that you will be hosting in the future.

Our class would
like to thank you for providing this wonderful project. We had so
much fun learning about fall and using technology. This was a
wonderful opportunity for my class to get involved with the global
community and use technology. Your project was truly inspirational
and so user friendly. The resources provided were excellent and we
loved looking at all of the other wonderful projects. The way you
displayed all of the projects is a work of art. You are an amazing
educator and we thank you for all of your hard work in creating
meaningful and fun projects that include all educators regardless of
their level of proficiency in technology.

Nov. 9, 2004 I really liked the
project, the deadline also really helped me to get it done.
Your layout of display is really attractive and nice to show the
children and
parents. Thanks for letting me a part of it.
Tara McCarthy Ps I look forward to doing other projects with you.
Nov. 9, 2004 Our school district has embraced the WOW
concept (Working on the Work, also a book by the same title by Phillip
C. Schlechty). It asks the educator to go
beyond paper and textbook activities to produce a more authentic student
activity and/or project. I believe your activity helped me do just
that. Interestingly,
a day or two before the entire project was completed by my students, two
members from the central office decided to stop by my school. I had no
idea who they
were! As my assistant principal walked these two obviously important
people down my hallway, I literally jumped out of my classroom to show
off my Fall We Love It project! Later, I learned they were two
representatives from central office! What a show
off!
Sincerely,
Debbie Alexander Isle of Hope Elementary School 2nd

Dear Mrs. McGowan,
We want to thank you, once again, for a most inspirational project! The
children really had a chance to spread their "descriptive" wings, and
tried a totally new form of writing. The ideas that other participants
shared were simply terrific - a wonderful resource!
Please know we appreciate all your efforts!
With many thanks,
Ms. Jacoby and Class Peirce School Arlington, MA
