Leaf Man 2008
 Project Resources and Books

Make A Leaf Man

Here's a Leaf Man made by a former student.

Try to collect the best leaves you can find.  Lay them inside layers of paper towels to dry.  Put a heavy book on top to help keep leaves flat.  Glue the leaves on paper.  Take a picture while leaves are still fresh!

If you have access to a color copy machine, copy your leaves , cut them out and use in your project. That's the method Lois Ehlert used making her book.

Another idea is to scan your dried leaves and print out with colored printer.  These paper leaves look terrific too.   Cut them out and make your Leaf Man.  We used this leaf image for a booklet cover.

Leaf Man Stickers
You can print out a page of Leaf Man stickers!  This is found on the author's page.  We used them in a similar writing activity in 2006, the first year  we found the book.
